B2B Dynamic Packaging
A $1.2m project to create a new online travel product across International Markets, offering ‘tailor-made’, dynamically-priced holiday packages. The role included ensuring clear requirements and design specifications, agreeing contracts with multiple third party technology suppliers, planning the project and managing and communicating progress against plan.
Loyalty Card data enhancements
I managed a $125k project to deliver improvements to legacy systems to enhance the data available to a loyalty card customer. My role involved co-ordinating with legal over a new contract, planning development with offshore technology teams, reviewing progress, milestones, risks and issues to ensure functionality and timescale objectives were met.
Italian Market Investment
Programme Management of the Italian development group for a $210k project for improvements to increase market share in Italy. I planned, coordinated and communicated progress against the plan to regional stakeholders.

Role: Project Manager
From/To: Dec 2003 to Sep 2004
In support of the NHS national minimum care standards initiative, I planned and managed the implementation of training programmes within tight constraints of time and cost whilst ensuring high quality was maintained.
With a duration of 9 months and a budget of £70,000, the project trained 800 care providers from over 100 organisations to meet NHS targets. I completed the project on schedule and within budget.

I managed a wide range of projects introducing new technologies (i.e. Wireless devices) and processes in the Airline environment. I planned and co-ordinated the activities in each area (in-house IT, 3rd party suppliers and operational areas) to ensure the smooth implementation of new capabilities and incremental improvements to business performance.
Also (in a ‘Workstream Manager’ role) I managed the relationship with Heathrow Airport Ltd for projects in a change programme. Where I oversaw projects conducted by business partners to ensure requirements and issues were given maximum priority.

Wireless Baggage Scanning
A 12 month project providing real-time tracking information for all baggage at Heathrow, and provide greater flexibility in working processes, in partnership with BAA Ltd and Siemens Airport System PLC. I introduced the first wireless technology into this area, delivering a 10% reduction in lost bags and reducing compensation to be paid and inconvenience to the customer. I also negotiated Service Level Agreements to support the new technology at no additional cost.
Vehicle Key Control
Following a review of vehicle control procedures by the Health and Safety Executive, I successfully drafted and presented a business case for a £250,000 project for a new swipecard system (for 2,000 staff and 600 vehicles) to resolve the issues raised. I then successfully managed the project through the requirements definition, planning and supplier selection stages.
The following HSE review approved changes made to working practices and plans for resolving the remaining issues.
Aircraft and Vehicle damage review
A business assessment project to investigate the causes of accidents and damage to aircraft and company vehicles at the Airport. Analysis presented for action to be taken to reduce annual repair costs of £2m by 10% (£200,000).
Company: British Airways – Information Management
Role: Lead Developer
From/To: Jul 1995 to Apr 1999
I led the development of client-server applications (involving Oracle, SQL and some Unix) within an on-going Management Information System development. I pioneered the introduction of new Oracle business intelligence technology (Oracle OLAP Express) into the company.
I worked with customer forums to establish requirements; and designed/built solutions to meet business needs. Post implementation I provided support and training on systems developed.
